Who is Frankie Fightwell? – Part 3

Rehearsals for ‘The Final Adventure of Frankie Fightwell’ are underway. It’s always a lovely feeling to see and hear your words come to life for the first time; a feeling that as a play-write I don’t think I will ever get old. There are more rehearsal photos on the Blackshaw Theatre blog. You definitely won’t want to miss my “gosh, did I really write that?” face, my “haha oh wow I’m hilarious” face and my “it’s pretty warm in here, perhaps I should take off my jumper?” face!

‘The Final Adventure of Frankie Fightwell’ will be on at the Putney Arts Theatre on the 11th and 12th May, and tickets are available now!

Over the past few months I’ve spent more and more time talking about my new play, ‘The Final Adventure of Frankie Fightwell’. Now, I’m pleased to announce that the dates are set and tickets are now on sale!
If you came to see my last play, ‘The Haunting of Exham Priory’, then…well, this is something entirely different! For a start, this is a radio play, so the performance will be recorded (with live Foley sound effects) and then later aired on Wandsworth radio.
So what’s it all about? ‘The Final Adventure of Frankie Fightwell’ is a dark comedy about principles, money, and the importance of family. Stuart is a writer and creator of the beloved Young Adult literature heroine Frankie Fightwell. When Stuart’s agent delivers some bad news, Stuart soon comes to realise that there might be more than just the usual vampire sharks and giant Nazi man-spiders preventing Frankie from making it to the end of her latest adventure. But Frankie – and Stuart – aren’t going down without a fight!
There will be two performances at the Putney Arts Theatre; one on Friday 11th May and one on Saturday 12th May. Tickets are available to book at the link below.

Tickets are £9.50 or £7.50 for concessions. Or, if you book your tickets before 1st April then there is an ‘Early Bird’ special all tickets are available at the cheaper concession rate. I hope to see you there!

I’d recommend tuning in to the Blackshaw Arts Hour podcast because it’s an enjoyable hour of arts-related entertainment, but also because in today’s episode Blackshaw Theatre Company announce the upcoming performance dates for my new play.
I’ve previously talked about The Final Adventure of Frankie Fightwell here on the blog, but I can now confirm that it will be coming to the Wandsworth Arts Fringe on the evenings of 11th & 12th May 2018. That’s one for the diary, folks!
I’ll share more detailed information here – including performance times and ticket prices – once I have have it.

Very pleased to officially announce that my new play, ‘The Final Adventure of Frankie Fightwell’, is being produced by Blackshaw Theatre and coming to the Wandsworth Arts Fringe in May 2018! I’m really looked forward to working with the Blackshaw crew to bring Frankie Fightwell to life. Stay tuned for more information over the coming weeks.
Last night I finished the preliminary draft of my new play, ‘The Final Adventure of Frankie Fightwell’. There’s a play there now, I just need to make sure it all makes sense! I have a little over a month until the working first draft deadline, so hopefully that’s more than enough time to complete the editing. To be honest I find the editing enjoyable; it’s getting all your thoughts down on paper and ordered into the initial structure that’s the tricky bit.
